We’re excited to be recruiting as part of the 4th Coach Core cohort in Sussex.
This an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of DanceHub sessions, events and community projects while working towards a Community Activator Coach qualification. Includes coaching, administration, and working with young people across schools and local settings.
Planning Permission for Dormans Youth Arts Centre has been approved
Crawley Community Youth Services and DanceHub CIC will be working in collaboration to impact, inspire and empower Young People in Crawley, via our Big Build Project, developing Dormans Youth Arts centre into a hub of youth led activity, creativity and expression for the next generation.

Alfie’s Next Generation Dance Leader Journey
Alfie now has future ambitions to become a dance teacher, the experiences, education, skills and knowledge gained through the Next Generation programme will support him on this journey.
Charlie’s Y.E.S Project Journey
Charlie, aged 10, first joined the Y.E.S Project sessions at Dormans Youth Arts Centre in 2024, since this he has continued to attend the weekly Dance and Movement sessions, take part in events, develop key skills and taken on leadership roles.
Everyone Active Community Champions
We are so proud to be named one of the Everyone Active Community Champions for K2 Crawley. We will use this partnership to create new opportunities for our young people; increasing access to high quality studio space and building a stronger connection with a local landmark that so many in Crawley value.

Tillie's Y.E.S Project leadership journey
This case study follows Tillie’s journey from a Y.E.S Project participant to a confident dance leader. Through dedication and support from DanceHub, she gained qualifications, taught multiple projects, and now volunteers to keep dance programs running. Her growth reflects a strong commitment to leadership, community, and her dream of starting her own dance company.
Alfie's Y.E.S Project Journey
Alfie, 13 from Crawley, has progressed through DanceHub and The Y.E.S Project’s leadership pathway. At this young age, he has already journeyed from Y.E.S Project Participant, Youth Voice Participant, Dance Leader and now a Next Generation Dance Leader and Y.E.S Project Co-Teacher.

The Y.E.S Project, a youth-led dance initiative across Sussex, won a Community Engagement Award for empowering over 600 young people through inclusive movement, leadership, and skill-building opportunities.
Y.E.S Teacher wins Rising Star award at Sussex Sport and Physical Activity Awards 2024
Jade Hand, a passionate Crawley dance teacher, won the Rising Star award for leading inclusive projects, mentoring youth, and promoting community engagement through dance across Sussex. Plus other y.E.S Teacher and Coach Core Apprentice shortlisted to the final 3.
