The Y.E.S Project Summer Intensive
We are very pleased to announce the first ever Y.E.S Project Summer Holiday Intensive held at Brighton Marina Studios on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd August 2024. Over the course of two days, the dancers will get to experience dance sessions from new and professional choreographers, meet other Y.E.S Project participants from our other delivery areas of Sussex and have a jam packed two days full of dance, fun and new experiences. Free Shop Family Fun Day
Y.E.S Project Participants from our Dormans and Bewbush Community Projects will be performing at the Free Shop Family Fun Day. Join us at 11:30am on Sunday 14th July at Crawley Town Football Club to support our dancers!
Crawley Volunteers Thank You Fun Day:
Some of our Crawley Y.E.S projects will be performing at the Crawley Community Action Fun Day on Sunday 2nd June at Dormans Youth Centre. Watch out for a handful of our young leaders volunteering throughout the day too!
Take Part 2024
Our HKP and Whitehawk Y.E.S Dancers performed at Brighton and Hove City Council’s Take Part event. Over 20 of our dancers performed in front of the Brighton Community at this positive and inspiring event.
International Dance Day 2024 (FREE)
Join us in celebration of movement and unity at our International Dance Day event in Crawley Town Centre. On this vibrant day, the heart of Crawley commemorates the art of dance in all its diverse forms. Our event promises an array of FREE workshops, performances, and surprises that will ignite your passion for dance and showcase the talented diverse dancers of our local community. So mark your calendars and spread the word! International Dance Day in Crawley Town Centre promises an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, joy, and the boundless magic of movement.
Global Majority engagement Event
Event at the Actors theatre/pub from 5.00pm to 9.00pm, to engage with our global majority youth in the city on April 12th: The event is being organised to hear the voices of this diverse community of young people, through DJ, rapping, music, singing, and dance workshops to hear what they have to say about what they would like within our community. The Y.E.S Project Brighton will be hosting a workshop.
Dance Leadership Course – Brighton April 2024
Turn your love for dance into a world of inspiring opportunities with our Level 2 Dance Leaders qualification. This is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful learners to gain a range of skills that will enable them to assist to lead purposeful and enjoyable dance activity sessions, under indirect supervision. This course will enable you to: Establish and develop skills Be able to plan, lead and evaluate dance sessions Be able to lead dance activities which promote a healthy lifestyle and assist in planning and leading a dance activity event Be capable of using music and stimulus in dance and use movement and music in dance choreography Be able to lead dance activity sessions independently Enrichment funding applicable. Let's Dance Brighton 2024
2 of our Brighton based Y.E.S Projects are thrilled to be performing at Let's Dance Brighton between 18th - 22nd March 2024. Both St Mark's Primary School and HKP Y.E.S Project will be gracing the stage at the Brighton Dome.
Brighton Streets with TDC
Rhiannon from the Y.E.S Project will be working with the TDC team on the Brighton Streets Minibus to bring awareness of the Y.E.S Project to young people around the London Road area in Brighton. We aim to have a new Y.E.S Project running in Moulsecoomb after April half term 2024.
Let's Dance Crawley 2024
Let’s Dance Crawley 2024, produced by DanceHub, will host several performances from our after-school Y.E.S projects and a local community Y.E.S project feature as a special guest!
Forward Motion 2024
The Y.E.S project are proud to be performing at DanceHub's event Forward Motion 2024. Our young people will be performing a routine choreographed by Urban City’s Shaun Angel and the young dancers themselves!
The Y.E.S Project Winter Showcase:
On Saturday 2nd December 2023 prepare to be dazzled by an array of performances showcasing the incredible talents of our Y.E.S Project participants who are working hard to plan, lead and deliver this event themselves. You can now purchase tickets to this directly from our Crowdfunder via the book here button below. We have limited spaces so grab yours before they sell out, all proceeds from this event will go towards sustaining the Y.E.S project in Crawley.
Crawley Pride 2023
In August 2023 four of our Crawley Y.E.S Project dancers took to the main stage at Crawley Pride 2023 to perform a very special dance choreographed by the young people themselves! They danced alongside a live performance from the incredible Ju5 Bones . Event information: 2023 marked the third annual Crawley Pride celebration. The 2023 LGBTQ+ parade & festival was a celebration, honouring our past, present and future queer generations.
The Y.E.S Project Pop-Up Performance!
Three of our Crawley Y.E.S Projects came together to produce a wonderful performance held in Crawley's County Mall. The October event showcased group dances, duets and solos in order to raise support for the Y.E.S Project in Crawley. We were blown away by the creativity and confidence of our young people at this event and look forward to the next!

Let's Dance BTN 2023
In March 2023 our wonderful HKP Y.E.S Project performed at Let’s Dance Brighton based at the beautiful Brighton Dome! Thank you to our hardworking Y.E.S Project teacher Rhiannon and our collaborative partners at @hkpyouthteam for giving our young people this wonderful performance opportunity.
Let's Dance Crawley 2023
We have been working in partnership with Let's Dance to offer performance opportunities for Y.E.S participants as well as other schools and groups. After having held our first Let's Dance Crawley event in March 2023, DanceHub CIC with The LET’S DANCE trust’s blessing are bringing Let’s Dance back to Crawley 2024.
