The Y.E.S Project

The Y.E.S Project uses the power of Dance and Movement initiatives to engage and empower disadvantaged young people with fewer opportunities in life to overcome their challenges, make connections, aim high, and reach their potential.

We ensure our service is youth centred, giving young people a sense of ownership and responsibility.

Y.E.S launched in 2019 in Brighton, and quickly expanded into Crawley and now across Sussex. We deliver in-school sessions and after school enrichment activities where students work towards performances such as Let’s Dance.

The sessions are taught by our dynamic team, assisted by up-coming youth dance leaders. The Y.E.S Project goes one step further by supporting leadership through DanceHub’s delivery of the Leadership Skills Foundation Course. In this course young people receive a qualification that enables them to gain a range of skills to lead purposeful and enjoyable dance activity sessions.

We hold regular meetings which aim to listen to youth voices at every step of our journey. Click here to find out more about our Youth Voice meetings.
